Jubilee's benevolence and outreach ministry, Son Life Ministries,
includes a food pantry and a local thrift store. We not only
want to be equipped to meet the needs of our own church members,
but also the needs of the local community. This is a great opportunity
to work on the front lines of ministry to the city of Pensacola.
Because there are always needs, there is no shotage of work

1. What/who is Angel Food Ministries? Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. The program began with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia in 1994 and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families across the United States. Now it is the largest food ministry in the world delivering to 32 states.
2. Who can buy the food? Everyone, there are no applications or qualifications to order . Angel Food Ministries also participates in the Food Stamp program. Food Stamp participants must present their EBT card and ID when making a purchase.
3. Where does the food come from? All food is “restaurant grade” meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which is acquired through Angel Food’s involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, “name brand” foods. You will never receive “seconds” or “day old” type products.
4. Can I purchase more than one unit or special box? Yes, you can purchase as many regular units or specials as you like. To purchase special boxes you must order at least one regular unit.
5. Why is the food sold at such a cheap price? Angel Food’s groceries are sold by the box at $30.00 per unit with a retail value of approximately $55-$65. Angel Food buys in bulk, and the majority of work to make this program a success is done by volunteers.
6. Does Jubilee International receive any benefit by partnering with Angel Food Ministries? Yes, Angel Food Ministries donates $1.00 from each basic box and $1.00 for each special box sold to the host church’s benevolence fund. Since its inception, Angel Food Ministries has contributed over $12 million in host site benevolence funds.
7. What does my $30.00 buy? The basic food box contains meats, vegetables, and an assortment of other staples, either fresh or frozen. The menu varies each month. Please visit Angel Food’s website, at angelfoodministries.com.
8. Where do I buy the food? There are two convenient ways to buy: You can fill out your order form at Jubilee after Sunday morning services (we’ll have a table set up in the foyer). You can stop by the church office between 9 am and 3 pm. Please ask for Arlene or Michelle who will answer any questions and assist in filling out order form. Please note that you must pay in full (cash, check or money order) when you place your order or if you use an EBT card you must fill out and sign EBT voucher..
9. When and where do I pick up my order? Your order will be ready for pick-up on the designated Saturday for that month at Jubilee, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Please bring an empty medium-size box.
